We are a friendly, family run hotel, providing excellent facilities and services for our guests and customers. Built in 1840, the fine stone built exterior displays much olde worlde charm, whilst the interior has recently undergone extensive renovation and redecoration throughout. The hotel has the benefit of a warm friendly atmosphere, pleasant surroundings, superb food in our traditional restaurant or our conservatory dining area, plus extremely well-furnished en-suite bedrooms.

The Hotel is very conveniently located in the centre of the country village of Askrigg, at the heart of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park. Askrigg is an ideal holiday location in Wensleydale, the most beautiful and historic of the Yorkshire Dales. The green wooded dales, river banks and purple moors provide a relaxing holiday location far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

The Yorkshire Dales possess a diverse range of geology and landforms, with magnificent Wensleydale providing a very special distinctive and unique landscape at its heart, with its green dales and purple moors. This beautiful un-spoilt region provides a magnificent calm and tranquility.

Yorkshires Waterfall Country
Within a few miles are found Hardraw Force, England's highest waterfall, and the Upper, Middle and Lower Aysgarth Falls, perhaps England's most impressive series of powerful waterfalls and certainly not to be missed.

Realm of Castles and History
Located nearby are found a wide range of imposing and interesting historic sites including the prominent Bolton castle, the renowned Middleham Castle, the impressive Richmond Castle….and the famous Jervaulx, Fountains and Easby Abbeys. There are also many excellent visitor attractions in the area, including the Dales Countryside museum, Forbidden Corner and Wensleydale Creamery.

Walking Wonderland
On our doorstep is excellent walking country with walks of all lengths and all abilities, both within magnificent Wensleydale and the surrounding dales and moors.
