Welcome to Thornsett House, the perfect place to enjoy a traditional English Bed & Breakfast for your stay in Sheffield. We are situated near to the city centre, the universities and all the local nightlife. The city centre can be easily reached by taxi (5 minutes), bus (15 minutes) or on foot (20 minutes).
Thornsett is a Victorian House rather than a hotel, and is comfortable, friendly, close to all facilities but quiet to ensure a perfect night's sleep. Secure car parking is also available.

Driving Directions
From M1 J33: Follow road towards city centre for 5 miles, road terminates at large roundabout (Park Square). Go straight across, up the hill, and follow the road round to the left. At the next roundabout, turn right. At the next roundabout, turn left onto Charter Row. At the next roundabout, go straight across. Take the first left at the traffic lights and then go straight through the next two sets of lights. Thornsett Road is then the second road on the right. Thornsett House is the first house on the right.
From Manchester: Use the A57 (Snake Pass) to get to Sheffield. At the first set of traffic lights go straight on. Continue straight on at all junctions until you reach a large roundabout next to Sheffield University, and turn right onto the ring road. At the next roundabout turn right. Take the first left at the traffic lights and then go straight through the next two sets of lights. Thornsett Road is then the second road on the right. Thornsett House is the first house on the right.
From Chesterfield (A61): Follow signs into Sheffield until 1st retail park on left and then approximately 200yds later turn left between Greshams and Arnold Lavers Timber Yards. Follow the road to the T-junction and turn right, and then turn left at the lights. Turn right at the next set of lights then take the 1st left up a small side street on the pedestrian lights. Carry straight on over the speed bumps until you reach a T-junction. Thornsett House is the opposite right hand corner house. |
