Head Chef Andrew Burkin has developed a local following for good quality pub food. The emphasis is on local produced sourced in and around Dartmoor such as the pork and herb sausages hand made by local butcher Michael Howard at Moretonhampstead. Fresh fish dishes are also popular whether it be simple Beer Battered Cod & Chips or pan seared tuna with salad nicoise, smoked haddock kedgeree or John Dory with dry roasted tomatoesand warm buttered samphire.
The bar offers a creative brasserie style menu with daily choices on the blackboard.
