Welcome The Stork Hotel is ideally located on the A571 giving easy access to all the North-West motorways from the near-by M6, M56, M60, and M58. Wigan centre featuring Wigan Pier, Super League Rugby and Premiership football is only 4 miles away or 10 minutes by bus. St Helens is equal distance, again featuring World class visitor attractions such as the World of Glass museum and St Helens Super League Rugby. Liverpool and Manchester are both within 30 minutes with their airports and big city attractions. The area all around the Stork is a mecca for walkers and hikers set high on the hills of Billinge in the beautiful South Lancashire countryside.
Old foundations in the base of the pub deep in the cellars show the remains of the old toll tower which sited at the top of the two steep approaches gave income to the road builders of the eleventh century. Becoming a farm with numerous outbuildings and reputed to be a regular hiding place for highwaymen one of fame being John Lydon.
Rooms Here at the Stork we offer a choice of 8 rooms, 1 of which is en-suite. In addition there is a bathroom with W/C and a shower room with W/C.
All of the rooms have double beds. The largest rooms can easily sleep 6 people. Colour TV, coffee and tea making facilities are standard.

Saturday and Sunday Single room £20 Double room / Twin £30 Family room £40 (2 adults, 2 children)
The en-suite is £35 single and £50 double at all times
Please note: We will try to be as flexible as possible with check in times but require rooms to be vacated by 11am
Food Breakfast is served from 8am, Bar meals from 12 noon. Evening meals from 5.30pm till 8.30pm
A full menu is offered with a wide range of bar snacks Monday to Saturday or try our delicious three course Sunday Carvery.
