Facilities
Originally built as two separate cottages, Springfield has been extended over the years to provide its current spacious layout. During 2005 extensive refurbishment works were carried out to provide all bedrooms with ensuite bathroom/shower-room facilities.
We have 3 letting rooms - two which can be either set up as twins or king size doubles and one standard double. All rooms are on the first floor. |

Bainloch Deer Park - This picturesque deer park is within 1 mile of the guesthouse.
Golf - Colvend parkland golf course (18 holes) is within 1/2 mile. Southerness championship standard links course is around 5 miles away while Solway Links (18), Craigieknowe (9) and Dalbeattie (9) are all within 6 miles. A further 20 courses are located within an hours drive away.
Bird watching - Reserves at Mersehead, Ken/Dee Marshes and Caerlaverock
Mountain Biking - 7 stanes trail close by
Cycling - on quiet back roads or forest paths
Horse riding - available at Barend nearby
Water Sports - at Loch Ken (20 miles)
