AA 4 Star Guest House

Built as a gentleman's residence in the latter part of the 19th century, Rosemullion offers you a holiday that is every bit as distinctive as its Tudor appearance. Rosemullion is a house of great character and charm, appealing strongly to the discerning guest - as does the kind of holiday we offer you.

It is our pleasure to create a convivial yet peaceful atmosphere, recognising, for instance, that not everyone wants to be disturbed by the sound of children - or by the noise from a licensed bar. That is why we do not cater for children and do not have a bar of our own.

The emphasis is very much on that rarest of commodities in today's world - peace.

As a family, we have owned Rosemullion for four decades and in that time have continually extended, refurbished and updated its first class accommodation, whilst preserving the hotel's character.

The hotel is fully centrally heated, having 13 bedrooms, some with glorious views over the bay (two with their own balcony), and a dining room in which we take particular pride. Outside, there is a large parking area affording maximum convenience.

Proudly dominant!
This splendid old photograph, taken shortly after the turn of the century, shows just how close we are to Gyllyngvase, Falmouth's main beach.

Falmouth is a town steeped in history and tradition. Its charter was granted in 1661 after Falmouth had served the Royalists well in the Civil War, Pendennis being the last garrison in England to capitulate to the Roundheads after a six-month siege. Today Falmouth is boating paradise and an ideal centre for many lovely walks and trips.

Numerous boat trips are available, with nearby rivers Fal and Helford containing outstandingly beautiful scenery. Both have been used many times for television and cinema filming and both have repeatedly inspired many famous novelists.

Falmouth also boasts tropical trees and award-winning parks and gardens - four times Britain in Bloom National Champion - plus an excellent selection of restaurants and public houses, many with strong nautical themes.

Few resorts anywhere in the world can compare with Falmouth for so many natural and historic attractions to provide the perfect holiday.

Indeed, Falmouth is really three resorts in one - the town and inner harbour, with picturesque little streetsoverlooking hundreds of bobbing boats and bigger ships in the distance; the magnificentseafront, with its safe bathing beaches, beauty spots, coves and coastal walks; and themarvellous drive around Pendennis Headland, with Pendennis Castle up on high and affordingtruly breathtaking views of the harbour, bay, beaches, port and estuary.

We are ideally situated, being just 200 yards from Falmouth's main beach and close to many other facilities, including the Princess Pavilion Theatre, tennis courts, public bars and the town centre, and are only a 60 minute drive away from the newly opened spectacular Eden Project near St. Austell.
