Licensed Hotel, situated in the Conservation area overlooking the sea and minutes from the Royals shopping centre, Pier, Cliff Gardens and Pavilion shows. Close to Fenchurch Street line Train Station. Prices and particulars listed on the Internet. Business people are also made very welcome.
A little bit about your host: Born in Southend in 1929. He started work at the age o 13 at the local paper (Southend Standard) as an apprentice printer. At 18 he volunteered for the Commonwealth Police in Palestine (before it became Israel/Palestine) until the force disbanded. He served in Haifa. After the he started working on the Orient line as a ship's printer serving on seven of the companies ships in the 50's taking £10.00 poms to Australia; the ships carried about 1000 emigrants each. After finishing at sea he went to New York City to work at The York Times where he was employed for over 25 years until he retired. He returned to England at a later time when be purchased The Regency Hotel and has been here for approximately 20 years.

Front rooms are £50.00 for 2 persons sharing. Includes TV, tea and coffee making. There is a shower and wash basin in your room. Towels are supplied.
All other rooms are £40.00 to £50.00 2 Sharing. Extra person in room is £20.00. (Providing there is extra bed in room)
Full English breakfast is supplied with all the trimmings.
