Open all year round.

Our guest house is situated in a peaceful rural area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on Cornwall's Heritage Coast, just a few minutes walk from the spectacular Coastal Footpath and close to the ancient Dizzard Woods, Cancleave Strand and Millook. A short drive away are Widemouth Bay, Bude and Boscastle.

Within easy reach of Dizzard there is available an 18 hole golf course, safe bathing, very good surfing, sea and fly fishing, horse riding, trekking and much more.

Bears and Boxes offers friendly and comfortable accommodation in a cottage, parts of which date back to the 17th century. We have recently completed renovating the two bedrooms in the old part of the house for even greater comfort. There is a twin/double bedroom with a fantastic view over Widemouth Bay and also a family suite. The family suite has a private bathroom adjoining, and all other bedrooms are fully en suite. All rooms are equipped with hostess tray, TV and other luxuries to make yor stay more enjoyable. A cot and high chair are available. Also available for guests are the comfortable lounge reading room and dining room. We have a supply of children's toys for our younger (at heart!) guests. Evening meals (English Fayre with tropical flair) are available by arrangement. We enjoy the challenge of those people who have special dietary requirements but would like some prior notice.

For stays of 3 days or more we offer a 10% discount

If requested in advance we are able to provide a three course evening meal at £15.00 per head (£10.00 children over 10). Younger children are offered high tea earlier in the evening for £5.00 per head.

Bears and Boxes is not licensed for the sale of alcohol. But if you wish to bring your own we will be delighted to open your bottle and provide glasses!

Pets welcome by arrangement.

Bears and Boxes operates a non smoking policy within the house.

From Bude take the A39 towards Camelford at Wainhouse Corner turn right towards Crackington Haven after ¼ mile turn right at signpost for Dizzard/Millook. Proceed for 2 miles Bears and Boxes is on the left by large lay by.
