You will be impressed with Knole when you first approach this imposing Victorian farmhouse up the curving avenue of old Beech trees. The extensive, 1.5 acre grounds with their beautiful mature trees, shrubs and flowers are such a pleasure to see. Here you can sit and enjoy the peace and quiet, walk through the grounds, stroll through the fields looking for the numerous and varied wildlife, or have a tour of the farm on a quad bike (all where safety permits). The farmhouse was built with stone quarried on the site and has well-proportioned rooms. The ensuite bedrooms each have a fridge, fresh milk, TV and hostess tray. There is a separate dining room, where evening meals can be served by prior arrangement. You are welcome to bring your own wine. On chilly nights you can feel cosy in the lounge with its log fires. You can enjoy a quiet evening with a glass of wine and a book spent in the spacious conservatory overlooking the tors of Dartmoor. The views are fantastic! What do you like for breakfast? Something light? Or the full Monty to keep you going all day? Whatever you want, (within reason!!!) Mavis will provide! It will be delicious, home-cooked farmhouse fare.
