Glanusk Farm is set peacefully on the banks of the River Usk midway between Usk and Abergavenny and enjoys the most glorious views down the Usk Valley and to the hills on either side.
The bedrooms are traditional farmhouse style and have been decorated in an attractive manner. Being an old farmhouse, the rooms do not lend themselves to en-suite facilities, but a large new bathroom built in the new wing of the house is dedicated to the two main guest rooms. This has a wonderful roll top bath as well as a separate large power shower. At some times of the year, an en-suite bedroom is available in the new wing.
The rooms have colour television, tea & coffee making facilities and hairdryers. An ironing board and iron is available on request. Free wireless internet access. We have a small flock of totally free-range hens, which provide delicious eggs for your traditional Welsh breakfast. Continental breakfast is available for those who prefer, and we also cater for Vegetarian diets.
Numerous pubs and restaurants with a wide variety of food choices and prices to suit all budgets can be found within a 5 mile radius. The nearest is just 1 mile away.
Golf available within 1.5 miles and Fishing can be arranged on the River Usk.
Apart from the beautiful Usk Valley with its numerous walks, there is a nearby canal, and the Brecon Beacons are within 12 miles. The historical Big Pit Mining Museum is just 8 miles away. Easily accessed via the M4 (11 miles) or from the M50/A40 (5miles), Glanusk Farm offers an ideal location for holidays, sightseeing as well as Shopping and Theatre in Cardiff, in addition to sporting fixtures at the Millennium Stadium, all of which can be accessed in 35 to 40 minutes.
For the business traveller, early breakfasts can be arranged, and after just a few miles on country roads, you are on to fast motorway or dual carriageway roads allowing you to get to any business meeting in South Wales easily and without stress.
