The Fieldhead is situated in West Looe in Cornwall, only a fifteen minute walk along the waterside to the centre of town. In summer a passenger ferry plies across the harbour mouth. The town beach is popular in the summer months while the rock pools and sandy coves below the hotel provide interest all year round.

Looe is an old seafaring town with a long history of fishing and smuggling. Just 17 miles west of Plymouth. East and West Looe are split by the river running out to sea with a landmark seven arched stone bridge linking the two sides. The town 'centre' is at East Looe, with its cobbled streets, quaint cottages, shops and the busy fishing harbour
Built in 1896 as a grand private residence, The Fieldhead is now a traditional, warm and friendly country house style hotel offering a very high standard of comfort and service.

It occupies a prime, elevated position with unrivalled sea views from virtually every room across Looe Bay to Rame Head and beyond. Fascinating Looe Island, still in private hands is but a stones throw from the hotel, while the famous Eddystone Lighthouse is 12 miles away on the horizon. |

RELAX IN COMFORT
The ambience and traditional warmth of The Fieldhead are particularly evident - the comfortable lounge furnished with quality sofas and wing back chairs, while the use of table lamps and picture lights give the room a warm glow and provide a perfect place to relax at any time.

The centrepiece must be the huge bay window, an original feature of the house giving a quite remarkable vista across Looe Bay to Looe Island. Just off the lounge is the cocktail bar, well equipped and comfortable, serving a full range of beverages and with doors opening onto the balcony and gardens.

Throughout the building the pictures, ornaments and collections highlight the fact that The Fieldhead is proudly operated by the Owners - and indeed is their family home.
All the bedrooms at the Fieldhead are en suite.
The Fieldhead is set in 1½ acres of gardens and terraces, with a fabulous new outdoor heated swimming pool. |
