Mike & Susan Jepson offer you a warm welcome at Field Cottage, a 19th century detached cottage, situated off a country lane in the heart of the Chiltern countryside, looking out onto open fields. This idyllic, peaceful spot on the Bucks, Herts, Oxon county borders, is a real find according to one guest, yet is easily accessible. It certainly lives up to the name of Field Cottage and fully deserves its ETC silver award and 4 diamonds status.

Sue believes in a good start to the day with her healthy or hearty(!) legendary breakfasts served in the flower filled conservatory, with panoramic views of the adjoining fields and woodland.

Each bedroom has an en suite or private bathroom and is well appointed with colour television, tea & coffee making facilities and above all, comfy beds.

There is a peachy guest sitting room with doors that open onto the guest patio and the pretty cottage garden. There is a library of information and guide books to help you plan your stay in the area.Mike is a map expert and will give you foolproof directions to your destination and Sue will be only too happy to take you around her lovely garden - a must see in summer for its roses, clematis and cottage flowers blooming all around or just admire from afar.

There are numerous pubs in the area for eating out, easy access to public footpaths and the Ridgeway for walking and cycling alike and many local places of interest such as Oxford (40 mins); Wendover & RAF Halton (10 mins); Windsor (40mins); numerous National Trust properties such asWaddesdon, Hughenden & Cliveden; yet only just over an hour from London by car or on the Chiltern BR line from Great Missenden to Marylebone and within easy reach of international airports Heathrow (30 mins); Luton (30 mins).There is also easy access to the M40, M4, M25, M1 and A41.
