Two miles north of Haywards Heath, behind a 1,000 year old box hedge, Copyhold Hollow nestles in the 1½ acre hollow that gives it its name. The grade II listed house, 16th century with later additions, was built before Queen Elizabeth I came to the throne, on a site in use since the Iron Age. Now guests enjoy all the comfort of a home lovingly restored by the proprietor, Frances Druce, and a beautiful garden - featured in "The English Garden" magazine's May 2007 edition.

The very comfortable bedrooms have en suite shower or bathrooms, tea/coffee trays, televisions and hairdryers, the beds have crisp cotton sheets and down duvets. Whilst the very comfortable, oak beamed, guests' sitting room is dominated by the inglenook fireplace. Surrounded by countryside designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it is a haven for business people and tourists alike.

Whilst convenient for London-Gatwick Airport and Brighton, for those who enjoy walking, the high Weald Landscape Trail (Horsham to Rye - 89 miles) passes the door and self guided walks in the area are available. For garden lovers Borde Hill Gardens,Wakehurst Place, Nymans and Leonardslee are just four of several world renowned gardens close by - not to mention National Trust properties in the area. Among other delights, children of all ages enjoy, the Bluebell Railway and Pooh Bridge in nearby Ashdown Forest.
