Wendy and Neil welcome you to Alkham Court set on a working family farm with sheep and horses and is close to Dover's famous castle and 'whitecliffs'.
Our house overlooks the farm and is surrounded by spectacular views and countryside. Guests are able to relax in our conservatory and garden and enjoy our stunning views and glorious sunsets! We are renowned for our friendly service and tasty breakfasts and recently were named as having one of the 'best bed and breakfast homes in the South East' and the 'best in Kent'. On October 5th 2006 we were awarded Winners of the Best Bed and Breakfast in the South East Tourism ExSEllence Awards and received our award from Angela Rippon. The judges described Alkham Court as 'a traditional B & B located in a fantastic position, the accommodation speaks for itself in terms of quality, offering all the ingredients of a gold star property'.

Accommodation
We offer 3 beautifully decorated double or twin bedrooms. Each room having its own individual country-style with antique and painted furniture, hand painted and embroidered pictures with luxury furnishings.
 The rooms are self-contained and have their own private entrance into the house, giving our guests access to their rooms at anytime.
 The Badger Room:
Is a large upstairs bedroom with a super-king-size bed, an extra single bed is available to make this into a family room and we are able to alter this room into a twin bedded room. There is an en-suite shower with heated towel rail. The views from this room are wonderful!
The Wisteria Room:
This room is on the ground floor, has a king-size bed and its own private bathroom with a superb 'Victorian style' slipper bath and shower. This is a delightful room decorated with hand embroidered pictures, writing bureau and comfortable chairs.
The Garden Room:
This double en-suite bedroom is on the ground floor and looks out into the garden with excellent views. It is a spacious room with comfortable chairs and reading area, perfect for that long weekend!
All our rooms are well equipped with flat screen televisions and dvd players + many thoughtful extras including:

Disabled Access:
We have two ground floor rooms with parking alongside, there is a ramp available and the rooms are wheelchair accessible with good-sized bathrooms.

- Cot and highchair available.
- All rooms are 'No Smoking'

FROM THE FERRIES:- On leaving the Port of Dover follow signs to LONDON M20. After the last roundabout continue along the A20 (M20) towards London, then take 2nd exit (Canterbury/Folkestone to A260) and at the roundabout (distance from docks 6 miles (10km) follow signs to Alkham . After 2 miles (3Km) Meggett Lane is 2nd on right and Alkham Court is on the right just before the top of the hill.
FROM M20 LONDON/EUROTUNNEL:- Follow signs towards Dover past Junction 13 where M20 joins A20, drive through the tunnels and then immediate exit direction A260 Canterbury/Folkestone. Turn left at roundabout, back over the motorway, turn left again following signs to Alkham. Proceed down Alkham Valley road for approximately 2 miles (3Km), turn right into Meggett Lane and Alkham Court is on the right just before the top of the hill.
FROM M2/A2:- Follow signs for Dover. When you reach a roundabout with McDonald's on your left, take the 4th exit (Dover North/River and Temple Ewell). At the next roundabout take 2nd exit (River, Temple Ewell) then after 100 metres turn left (Alkham). Go through the village of Alkham then turn left after the garden centre into Meggett Lane and Alkham Court is on the right before the top of the hill. |

When booking please arrange an arrival time after 4.00 p.m . Please let us know if you have any special requirementsA non-refundable deposit of £10.00 per person per night (minimum £20.00) is payable at the time of booking.A booking once accepted is a legal commitment. Guests may be liable for the whole amount of the booking in the event of a cancellation if we are unable to re-let the room. In order to cover this cost, it is recommended that guests should consider taking out their own travel insurance.
