Things To Do and See
Harrogate really is the classic English spa town, with a reputation as one of the UK's most charming destinations. The cosmopolitan charm, character and elegant architecture of the town owes much of its heritage as a fashionable Victorian spa and today, with its beautiful floral displays, 200 acres of green lawns known as The Stray, famous Turkish Baths, arts and crafts shops, and a reputation as the antiques centre of the north, it is a very attractive and popular visitor destination.
Satisfy your appetite for world food and tempting traditional cuisine. Chill out at the cosmopolitan bars, night clubs and café's, enjoy alfresco dining, romantic meals, indulgent afternoon cream teas and mouth watering cakes at one of the many tearooms including the famous Bettys Café Tea Rooms.
Lovers of the arts will find plenty of inspiring exhibitions at contemporary and fine art galleries. Enjoy exciting productions at Harrogate Theatre and entertaining concerts at Harrogate International Centre.
Classy and contemporary shops from boutiques to antiques make Harrogate heavenly for shopping.
There is beautiful countryside on the doorstep for those who like to ramble the North Yorkshire Moors and surrounding area offers challenging hikes and gentle strolls.
